The Chinese have used the ancient science of Feng Shui for thousands of years to collect afflictions and enhance good energy in their living spaces and surroundings, as well as to bring them good luck and wealth.

Here are some tips and pointers on how to attract prosperity and increase your business luck:

To attract lots of prosperity and luck, attach two bells to the doorknob of the front door facing outside. On the inside, attach three Chinese coins knotted with red cord or tape three Chinese coins knotted with red cord to the underside of your doormat. This will bring excellent fortune to your premises.

Get some three-legged toads with a coin in the mouth and place them in discreet areas of your office. Place them low, on the floor, under a table, behind a cabinet, You can have as many as you like but nine is best.

Get several wealth ships laden with jewels and ingots. Position them, so there are at least one each, sailing inwards from your individual personal chi directions.

These ships represent many different sources of income entering your premises. Never display empty ships; they must always be filled with lots of gold and jewels and make sure they are sailing in, not out.

Always sit with a solid wall behind you to provide strong support Hang a picture of a mountain or have a tortoise behind you to symbolize solid support for your business.

Alternatively, hang a string of Nine Emperor Coins behind you at work to provide solid financial support for your business.

The southeast governs wealth luck, and is of the wood element To activate the growth energy in wood elements, place lea’ green plants here. Display gem-trees with gold coins tied to their branches to signifr growth of money luck.

Three Chinese coins activated with red cord brings auspicious feng shui; you should have them everywhere since they attract money luck wherever they are placed.

Keep them in your wallet tape them to the underside of your floor mat, attach them to all important files to increase your business and remember to energize your telephone, fascimile machine and personal computer as well.

If you are looking for victory luck, display a tribute horse in the south sector of your home/office. In golden day China, gifts and spoils of wars were often given to emperors and powerful court officials led in on a tribute horse.

If you are in a competitive situation at work, in business or in sport, this is one of the best energizers for victory luck. Hoses and lights (i.e. especially red light) are extremely suitable for this sector.

Plants are also very suitable to be placed in this sector as wood produces fire which will also help in energizing the luck.

‘The pagoda is most effective in warding off any bad energy and pernicious forces in your surroundings. It is also a powerful symbol of protection against illnesses.

Place this pagoda at the north sector of your office to protect your investments and guard against dirty tricks from business competitors. You may also put it on your desk or display it in a cabinet behind you.

Statins, which are well-established drugs in reducing cardiovascular events in high-risk patients, do not reduce cardiovascular risk in patients undergoing hemodialysis. Patients with chronic kidney disease particularly end-stage renal disease are considered high cardiovascular risk patients.

Investigators conducted a manufacturer-sponsored and administered, international, randomized, double-blind trial of rosuvastatin (10 mg/day) versus placebo in patients aged 50 to 80 who had been on dialysis for more than three months.

The 2,173 patients (38% of which are women, with the average of sixty- four) were followed for a mean of 3.2 years. At baseline, mean LDL levels were about lOOmg/dl, and median C-reactive protein (CRP) levels were about 5mg/I. At three months, LDL decreased by 42.9% in the rosuvastatin group, compared with 1.9% in the placebo group. The CRP level in the rosuvastatin group decreased by 11.5% and increased in the placebo group by 0.2%.

The primary endpoint, time to a major cardiovascular event, was similar in the two groups (hazard ratio for rosuvastatin compared with placebo, 0.96%; confidence interval, 0.84-1.11).

This finding was consistent in all subgroups, including patients with elevated LDL levels and those with elevated CRP levels. LDL level was not associated with risk for cardiovascular events.

The study arrived at two conclusions. First, despite presumably salutary effects on LDL and CRP levels, rosuvastatin did not benefit the patients in this trial. Secondly, the lack of benefit with statins in patients undergoing hemodialysis joins recent evidence of a similar lack in patients with advanced heart failure. Other operative mechanisms may be present in these two high-risk types of patients.

“Urges arise, not only from what one eats, but from what one thinks and eats! Also from what one digests mentally and spiritually!” Thus spoke Edgar Cayce, on the oneness of mind, body, and spirit, and the importance of watching our food intake.

Cayce is, perhaps, the most famous American psychic. He was also known as “The Sleeping Prophet”, because his insights came while he was in a state of “sleep” or what is now termed as trance channeling.

It is said that he could see into the past and into the future and could describe events taking place in Far off places. Between 1901 and 1944, a total of 14,000 “readings” or documented records of his telephatic clairvoyant statements were gathered. They covered such topics as ancient civilizations (including Atlantis), dreams and their meanings, psychic experiences, reincarnation, nutrition, relationships, among others.

It was his medical readings, however, which astounded many, especially doctors. Many of Cayce’s recommended cures are now considered valid medical treatments and have earned Cayce the distinction of being called the father of holistic medicine.

He rose to Fame decades before the New Age came about and today he remains a major influence on its teachings.
In 1932, Edgar Cayce founded The Association for Research and Enlightenment, Inc. (ARE.), which is based in Virginia, USA to preserve his readings. A.R.E. is a non-sectarian, non-dogmatic global network of individuals who conduct educational activities and fellowships in 25 countries.

The hit TV series banks on the appeal of the mystical.

In the 80s, there was The Twilight Zone. In the 90s, there was The X-Files. And now, there’s Lost that gives us the weekly creeps. The story begins with a plane experiencing turbulence, and then tragically crashing into an island with no immediate hints of rescue. (Note:the plane crash sequence was actually produced so well, the pilot episode is not recommended viewing for people who are scheduled to fly the very next day.)

Still, what initially would look like a standard survival of the fittest show would prove right within the first hour that something is not quite right on the island.

First, there is the unseen but extremely dangerous monster that kills the plane’s pilot. Then polar bears emerge from nowhere. Imagine such a bear on a tropical island and you easily get the idea that the island is no ordinary one. Those mysteries, including that of a French woman’s recorded voice and a crippled man suddenly regaining his ability to walk, have us kept right on the edge of our seats every episode.

Midway through the show’s first season, it will be evident that all the survivors are battling personal demons even before boarding the doomed Oceanic 515 flight from Sydney to Los Angeles. (Oceanic Airlines, of course, is a fictional airline, but there’s an “Oceanic” website that gives out clues on what may or may not happen in the show’s next season.)

There’s Jack (played by Matthew Fox), whose life-saving instincts as a doctor instantly make him the leader of the group and Kate (Evangeline Lilly) who, in the pilot episode, comes to his rescue to attend to his wounds. It does not lake long before we discover her ‘criminal’ secret.

There’s also former boy band member Charlie (Dominic Monaghan) who is struggling to kick the drug habit and the man we know as “Sawyer” (Josh Holloway, undeniably the show’s resident hunk) who becomes the “most hated man on the island” until someone more dangerous comes along.

Korean couple Jin (Daniel Dae Kim) and Sun (Yunjin Kim), who at first only communicate in their native tongue, turn out to have their own sob story, just like perennially quarreling siblings Boone and Shannon.

Others on the island include: Sayid (Naveen Andrews), a former member of the Iraqi Republican Guard, is determined to use his military training to find a way to communicate to the outside world. Michael (Harold Perrineau) and son Walt (Malcolm David Kelley) are just getting to know each other.

Hurley (Jorge Garcia), whose role seems to only serve as lame entertainment to the survivors, has a tar larger connection to the island, as well as to how much the pregnant Claire is wanted by “the others.”

So far, it seems that only John Locke (Perry O’Ouinn) has the answers. He is smart enough to disclose very little to keep us coming back for more.
